Become a Host Family

The American Au Pair program includes careful screening of both au pairs and host families and includes 24x7x365 support to both parties throughout the program to ensure a successful partnership. American Au Pairs are between the ages of 18 – 30 and are carefully screened prior to placement with your family. Au pairs assist their host family with childcare and household related activities including schoolwork. An au pair can be described as a family member, friend, caregiver, academic tutor, and household helper.

Hosting an au pair to care for your children and become a part of your family offers rewards far beyond traditional childcare. Au pairs must complete a training program in child development, safety and exclusive training in the educational methods of Joseph S. Renzulli, which will enable them to provide assistance with schoolwork and educational activities.
